The story

Piquet's white helmet carries a thick line resembling the seam of a tennis ball (possibly because his father wanted him to be a tennis player) with teardrop shapes filling the round areas; after yellow touches in his Camel-sponsored Lotus years it reverted to deep red when he moved to Benetton.
