The story

A design based on Ayrton Senna's helmet, adopted when Irvine raced in Japan as a tribute to the Brazilian, with the Irish national colours in place of Senna's: orange for the yellow and green for the contrasting stripes, the orange later giving way to Marlboro's bright red when he gained that sponsor; worn on his Jordan debut at the 1993 Japanese Grand Prix.
