The story

Dark blue base with pink, yellow, green and red stripes forming an inverted V-shaped swoosh on each side, echoing his father Gilles's inverted-V design; Villeneuve sketched it himself on a drawing pad with his mother's pencils, taking the colours from a sweater she wore in the paddock at Gilles's races, and kept the same colours for his whole career.
