Michael SchumacherRed helmet debut · Monaco Grand Prix
The story
From the 2000 Monaco Grand Prix Schumacher changed the blue top and some of the white areas of his helmet to red, keeping the German flag band, so his colours differed from new teammate Barrichello's near-identical white-and-blue scheme; the red helmet became his standard design.
