The story
Designed by Doha-based artist Hissa Al-Khuzaei, selected by Years of Culture for the Qatar, Canada and Mexico 2026 Year of Culture: painted strokes wrap around the helmet from a loop inspired by racing circuits, drawing on traditional Mexican dance skirts, Qatar's desert dunes and the angular patterns of Al Sadu weaving and Mexican textiles. Gasly showed it on 30 October, calling it one of his favourite helmet designs, and raced it on 1 November.
