The story

Vettel wore a 1970s-style version of his white German-tricolour helmet in Thursday practice in Monaco: a less glossy white, a hand-drawn brush-stroke tricolour, a decades-old font for the number 5 on top, a larger 1970s-style visor painted on and an image of an old oxygen-hose attachment just ahead of the HANS mount, a JMD design reported as substantially similar to his homologated livery under the 2015 one-design rule.
